Curriculum Vitae

• Born on the 10th of may 1977 in Leonberg, Germany.
• Abitur 1995 at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Hamburg.
• Basic studies in mathematics and physics at the University of Hamburg 1995-97, Prediploma in mathematics 1997.
• Studies of Mathematics and Business Economics at the Georg-August-University Goettingen, 1997-1998.
• Studies at the   University of Lund  as a member of the ERASMUS/SOCRATES program, 1998-1999.
• Studies at the Georg-August-University Goettingen during the winterterm 1999/2000.
• Graduation with a filosofie magisters (Master of Science) from the Department for numerical analysis at the centre for mathematical sciences, Lund in february 2000. The work was supervised by  Prof. Dr. Claus Fuehrer . Title of the Master Thesis: "Numerical Solution of ODEs with Bezier Techniques".
• May 2000 until June 2002: graduate student at the Technical University Aachen.
• July 2002 until October 2003: Member of the graduate school 357: Efficient Algorithms and Multiscale Methods and doctoral student at the institute for mathematics in Lübeck.
• Since November 2003: member of the research group Analysis and applied Mathematics at the University of Kassel.
• December 2005: Given the degree of a Dr. rer. nat.
• Since July 2006: Member of the Special Research Area SFB/TR TRR 30, funded by the German Science Foundation.
• November 2007 till February 2008: Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, USA
• January till March 2011: Consulting Assistance Professor at iCME at Stanford University, USA
