Stable Underlying Equations for Constrained Hamiltonian Systems

Description: This article summarises some of my results in [16, 111, 15] on the numerical integration of constrained Hamiltonian Systems. Special emphasis is put on showing how various numerical approaches may be understood as working with different underlying equations and how the stability of the constraint manifold under these flows affects the quality of the numerical results.
