Description: This paper reviews some of our results [ SemiDiskr Index Perturb ] on the application of ideas from the formal theory of differential equations to the numerical analysis of overdetermined systems. In contrast to previous articles, a more algebraic language is used. The discussion of index concepts is based on our new completion algorithm developed in [ GeoCompl ].
