My habilitation thesis Involution - The Formal Theory of Differential Equations and its Applications in Computer Algebra and Numerical Analysis was completed in November 2001 and accepted by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science of Universität Mannheim in June 2002. In the meantime I have found a number of minor errors, mainly in Chapter 2. It is an exercise for the readers to find these and report them to me ;-) A corrected version will appear in due time.

In order to get reasonable file sizes there is a separate postscript file for each chapter, but for the daring ones with a good internet connection: here is the whole thesis in one postscript file (704kB). All files are compressed with gzip.
