Computer Algebra and Differential Equations - An Overview

Description: This informal survey describes my personal point of view of the whole field of the application of computer algebra to differential equations. It gives a short overview of the main lines of research (with many references). I invite everybody to send me any (constructive) feedback on this article, as I hope that I will be able to keep it up to date and to include new developments. A slightly updated version has already appeared as internal report [105] .
