- We have finished a new
preprint On the Minimal Free
Resolution of the Rees Algebra of Tri-Generated Bivariate Monomial
Ideals (joint work with Rodrigo Iglesias, Matthias Orth and
Eduardo Saenz-de-Cabezon).
- We are organising the twelfth
workshop Differential
Algebra and Related Topics (DART XII) in Kassel.
- Our article Open Covers and Lex
Points of Hilbert Schemes over Quotient Rings via Relative Marked
Bases (joint work with Cristina Bertone, Francesca Cioffi and
Matthias Orth) has been accepted for publication in Experimental
Mathematics.
- We have finished a new
preprint Singular Initial
Value Problems for some Quasi-Linear Second-Order Ordinary Differential
Equations (joint work with Matthias Seiß).
- I will be a plenary speaker at the
Symposium on
Sparsity and Singular Structures 2024 in Aachen (February
26-29, 2024).
- Our article On the
Numerical Integration of Singular Initial and Boundary Value Problems for
Generalised Lane-Emden and Thomas-Fermi Equations (joint work
with Matthias Seiß) has been published by Applied Mathematics
and Computation.
- We have finished a new
preprint Machine Learning
Parameter Systems, Noether Normalisations and Quasi-Stable Positions (joint work
with Amir Hashemi and Mahshid Mirhashemi).
- We have finished a new
preprint Computing Finite and
Infinite Free Resolutions with Pommaret-Like Bases (joint work
with Amir Hashemi and Matthias Orth).
- Our article A Single
Exponential Time Algorithm for Homogeneous Regular Sequence
Tests (joint work with Amir Hashemi, Benyamin M.-Alizadeh and
Hossein Parnian) has been accepted for publication in the Journal of
Algebra and its Applications.
- Our article Recursive
Structures in Involutive Bases Theory (joint work with Amir
Hashemi and Matthias Orth) has been published
in the Journal of Symbolic Computation.
- I will be a plenary speaker at the
conference Applications of
Computer Algebra in Warsaw (July 17-21, 2023).
- Our article Complementary
Decompositions of Monomial Ideals and Involutive Bases (joint
work with Amir Hashemi and Matthias Orth) has appeared in Applicable
Algebra in Engineering, Communication and Computing.
- Our review
article Size-Resolved
Modeling of Diatom Populations: Old Findings and New Insights
(joint work with Jonas Ziebarth and Thomas Fuhrmann-Lieker) has appeared
in a book on
the Mathematical Biology
of Diatoms.
- Together with colleagues from Austria, Spain and Russia, we are
organising a monthly online seminar on singularities of differential,
difference and integro-differential equations. For more details, in

- The university has published a press release on our paper on
the diatom population dynamics: it
can be
found here
(in German only). The local newspaper HNA has made a half page article
out of it.
- Our article Computation of
Macaulay Constants and Degree Bounds has been accepted by
the Journal of Symbolic Computation and has already been published.
- The German Science Foundation (DFG) has approved the research
training group Biological Clocks on Multiple Time Scales where I
