Description: In 1993 the German Fachgruppe Computeralgebra (special interest group computer algebra) published a report on the situation of computer algebra in Germany which also gave a survey on the major topics in this field. I participated in the section on differential equations. A new edition of this report - this time written in English and published by Springer-Verlag - is in preparation and should appear soon.
