On the Numerical Analysis of Overdetermined Linear Partial Differential Systems

Description: This paper reviews some of our results [18, 68, 74] on the application of ideas from the formal theory of differential equations to the numerical analysis of overdetermined systems. In contrast to previous articles, a more algebraic language is used. The discussion of index concepts is based on our new completion algorithm developed in [22] .
