Prof. Dr. Wolfram Koepf

SIAM Activity Group on Orthogonal Polynomials and Special Functions

Wolfram Koepf was the Editor of the Newsletter of the SIAM Activity Group on Orthogonal Polynomials and Special Functions in the years 1995-1998.

The purpose of this Activity Group is to promote basic research in orthogonal polynomials and special functions; to further the application of this subject in other parts of mathematics, and in science and industry; and to encourage and support the exchange of information, ideas and techniques between workers in this field, and other mathematicians and scientists.

This Activity Group consists of a broad set of mathematicians, both pure and applied. The Group includes engineers and scientists, students as well as experts. We now have around 150 members scattered about in more than 20 countries. Whatever your specialty might be, we welcome your participation in this classical, and yet modern, topic.

Here you have access to the Membership Directory of the Activity Group.

You can obtain the back issues of the Newsletter in pdf form:

Besides the Newsletter, the Activity Group publishes an electronic service OP-SF Net, edited by Martin E. Muldoon. Visit the OP-SF Net Web Site for more details. Back issues can also be obtained from the OP-SF Net Site.

The elected officers of the Activity Group are listed here.

In order to join the group, and thereby receive the Newsletter, you have to become a member of SIAM. Contact:
