Description: The first part of the paper reports on the first implementation of staggered linear
bases in the CoCoALib and some benchmarks of it showing that this alternative
approach to Gröbner bases is very interesting from an efficiency point of
view. In the second part, we introduce the notion of a minimal staggered linear
basis and present an algorithm for its effective construction. The final part is devoted
to some applications like Hilbert functions and complementary decompositions. |
